1920
Late Dr. Amichand C. Shah installed the first Hattersely looms in Surat. Harden Silk Weaving Factory was born.
1966
Fabric Processing unit was established in Surat
1979
Garden Silk Mills Pvt Ltd co. was incorporated from Vareli Weaves Private Limited having fly shuttle looms and texturing unit installed at Vareli.
1987
Garden Silk Mills Pvt Ltd co became a public limited company and changed its name to Garden Silk Mills Limited.
1994
Started with modest POY production.
1995-2004
POY, FDY, DTY lines added.
2005
CP 1 & CP2 commissioned with Chemtex Technology at Jolwa plant.
2010
CP3 commissioned with CITEI Technology at Jolwa plant.
2011
POY, FDY, ATY lines added.
2014
Coal based Thermal Power Plant (TPP) started.
2022
Garden Silk Mills Ltd became a private limited company and changed its name to Garden Silk Mills Private Limited (GSMPL)
