GSMPL Jolwa Unit has a production capacity of 1700 MT per day of Polymers; 680 MT per day of Yarns; 156 MT per day of downstream variants. The plant combines world-class technologies to deliver its product range. It is distinguished by the use of process know-how of Barmag, Germany, and Teijin, Japan.

 

Plant operation was commenced in 1994 with a POY production of 15 MTD. In the next 5 years (1994-1999) production increased by 18 MDT. Further expansion and upgradation were achieved through the period 2001 – 2012. In 2012, the plant started its captive thermal power unit of 18 MW which later increased to 39 MW.

 

The unit is ISO 9001:2015, BS OHSAS 18001:2007, and OEKO-TEX accredited. Built over a sprawling 4,45,000 sq. mt., the plant employs close to 4000 people. The plant endorses high standards of health, safety, and environmental sustainability.
